Market falls to 1175 points on the first trading day of the week; Womi microfinance hits the positive circuit after gaining 96 points

On the first trading day of the week, the market lost 0.49% or 5.78 points and closed at 1175.05 points. The turnover today was worth Rs.37.29 Crore which was achieved from trade of 1,163,781 units of shares traded through 4,976 transactions trading scrips of 158 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) continues to top the turnover and shares traded list. Today NBL posted a turnover of Rs.11.59 Crore achieved through trade of 383,270 units of shares. The LRTP of the bank has fallen to Rs.300 per share.

After the announcement of right shares, Womi Microfinance (WOMI) hit the positive circuit as it gained 9.95% or 96 points to close at Rs.1061 per share. Bhargav Bikas Bank (BHBL) was today’s top loser after it lost 5.71% or 8 points to close at Rs.132 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 1.23 points and closed at 249.42 points while Float Index lost 0.52 points and closed at 85.40 points.

Amongst the sub-indices, Manufacturing & Products and Others were the only gaining sectors which gained 0.03% and 0.39% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices ended losing points with Non-Life Insurance losing the most at 1.26%.
