Market falls by 4.92 points; Transaction of only Rs 16.61 crore made during the day

The stock market has returned to its old ways as the market closed after losing 4.92 points. The market that started at 1,199.27 points ended at 1,194.35 points. The market observed continuous decline since the beginning of the day.

The total turnover for the day was only of Rs 16.61 crore which was achieved through the exchange of 6,29,717 unit shares. The shares of 168 listed companies were exchanged during the trading period through 3,158 transactions.

Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank Lmited (NCCB) stood ahead in terms of total turnover as the shares worth more than Rs 1.09 crore were exchanged during the trading period. It also stood ahead in terms of units of shares traded as 46,608 units were traded during the day.

The shareholders of Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMB) earned the most today as the price increased by 83 points and its LTP stood at Rs 916. However, the shareholders of NIBL Pragati Fund (NIBLPF) lost the most during the day’s trade as the price decreased by 1 points and the LTP stood at Rs 8.17.

Both the sensitive index and float index decreased by 0.97 points and 0.37 points respectively.

Out of the 10 sub-indices, only Manufacturing and Production and Hydropower sectors ended in the green zone gaining 2.93 points and 3.88 points respectively. Non Life Insurance sector lost 80.22 points which was followed by Life Insurance losing 28.07 points.
