Market falls by 3.45 points on the opening day of the week; Hydropower sector loses the most

The market opened for the week with the loss of 0.28% or 3.45 points. The benchmark index stood at 1209.62 points today. The turnover was worth Rs.35.02 Crore achieved through trade of 1,275,623 units of shares traded through 6,631 transactions trading scrips of 171 listed companies in the process.

Promoter Shares of Chhimek Laghubitta (CBBLPO) posted the highest turnover today of Rs.3.21 Crore with LTP of Rs.481 per share. Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 75,110 units of shares. The LTP of the commercial bank stands at Rs.322 per share.

Srijana Finance (SFFIL) was today’s top gainer as it gained 4.21% or 11 points and closed at Rs.272 per share. Panchthar Power Company (PPCL) was the top loser after it lost 7.20% or 8 points and closed at Rs.103 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 0.27 points and closed at 263.43 points while Float Index lost 0.34 points and closed at 88.97 points.

Hotels and Manufacturing sector were among gaining sub-indices today while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points.
