Market drops from a high of 1150 points to close at 1140.60 points; Asha Laghubitta continues to hit the positive circuit

At its highest point today, the market reached 1150 points. However, it stood to lose 0.60% or 6.86 points. The benchmark index closed at 1140.60 points today. The turnover today was worth Rs.27.24 Crore which was achieved from trade of 974,726 units of shares traded through 4,647 transactions trading scrips of 171 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) posted the highest turnover today at Rs.2.04 Crore. The LTP of the Life Insurance Company stands at Rs.1073 per share. Promoter Shares of Global IME Bank (GBIMEP) were traded the most today. A total of 105,120 units of the scrip exchanged hands. The LTP of the same stands at Rs.174 per share.

Asha Laghubitta (ALSBL) hit the positive circuit today as well. The Microfinance Company gained 9.91% or 46 points and closed at Rs.510 per share. Global IME Laghubitta (GILB) were today’s top loser after losing 5.74% or 60 points. The LTP of the same stood at Rs.985 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 1.52 points and closed at 242.47 points while Float Index stood at 0.56 points and closed at 83.05 points.

Hotels, Development Banks, Manufacturing & Processing and Other were among the gaining sub-indices as they gained 0.06%, 0.19%, 0.16% and 0.11% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone with Non-Life Insurance losing the most at 1.27%.
