Market continues to gains points and closes at 1217 points with satisfactory turnover; NMB Bank Limited dominates today’s trade

The market today reached a high of 1223 points today but it stood to gain 0.41% or 4.99 points. The benchmark index closed at 1217.04 points today. The turnover today was worth Rs.82.16 Crore which was achieved from trade of 2,801,613 units of shares traded through 9,597 transactions trading scrips of 171 listed companies in the process.

NMB Bank Limited (NMB) stood ahead in terms of turnover and shares traded after posting a turnover of Rs.7.26 Crore achieved through trade of 189,582 units of shares. The LTP of the commercial bank stood at Rs.389 per share.

Civil Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (CLBCL) was today’s top gainer as it gained 5.75% or 34 points and closed at Rs.625 per share. Corporate Development Bank (CORBL) was today’s top loser after it lost 4.08% or 4 points and closed at Rs.94 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 1.32 points and closed at 261.57 points while Float Index gained 0.45 points and closed at 89.74 points.

Banking, Hotels, Development Banks and Life Insurance sectors were the gaining sub-indices as they gained 0.82%, 0.09%, 0.27% and 0.63% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices ended in the red zone after losing points. Top loser among them was Microfinance as it lost 0.95% or 14.02 points.
