Market continues bearish mood, tanks 18.82 points and settles at 1,345.99 points with turnover over Rs 54.34 Crore

On the final trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has dwindled by 18.82 points or 1.38% to close at 1,345.99 points. Before the market closes for Holi festival tomorrow, the only local bourse of the country couldn’t pick up a significant gains till the first trading hour after which the investors couldn’t sustain their confidence thereby leaving the market to tumble with a double digit. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 54.34 crore which is quite decent where more than 13.37 lakh unit shares were traded through 5,259 transactions. 1 Shares of Pravu Bank Limited (PRVU) stood ahead in terms of total turnover as more than Rs 6.04 crore worth of its shares were traded today. In addition, over 2.68 lakh unit shares of the same bank exchanged their ownership today making it the highest traded shares as well. 3 4 Scrips of Suryodaya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SLBS) made the highest profit today as their value shoot up byRs 40 to close at Rs 1043. On the other hand shares of Civil Bank Limited (CBL) lost the most today with their value tumbling by Rs 10 to close at Rs 161. 56 Both the Sensitive and float index went down today by 3.78 points and 1.35 points respectively. The sub-indices of all the trading groups tanked points today and landed in red. Insurance sector that shredded 151.22 points. Hydropower sector which lost 28.78 points saw it as the second most losing sector for the day. 2
