Market closes losing 2.56 points; City Express Finance ends being top loser for the whole week

The slight ray of hope created by yesterday’s marginal increment has been proved to be wrong by today’s market as the market suffered loss of 2.56 points. The market had started at 1,193.87 points which had reached 1,995.73 points at its peak. However, the index fell by 0.21% to close at 1,191.31 points to end the day’s trade.
The total turnover for the day was of Rs 20.79 crore which was an outcome of transaction of 6,72,368 unit shares. The shares of 162 companies were exchanged through 2,992 transactions.
Sanima Mai Hydropower Company Limited (SHPC) was ahead in terms of turnover as Rs 3.28 crore worth of shares were traded during the day. It was also ahead in terms of stock traded by units traded as 1,05,634 units of its shares were traded.
The shareholders of Best Finance Limited (BFC) earned the most from today’s market as the price of the share increased by 4 points and its LTP stood at Rs 102. City Express Finance Limited (CEFL) again was the top loser for the day as the price decreased by 12 points and its LTP stood at Rs 112. It even touched the negative circuit.
Both the sensitive and float index decreased by 0.41 points and 0.15 points respectively.
Out of the 10 sub-indices, only Banking and Manufacturing & Production ended in the green zone. Manufacturing & Production sector gained 1.17 points and Non-Life Insurance lost 57.37 points to end the day.
