Market closes in green, turnover rises

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) Index has increased by a meager 0.33 points today (0.02%) to close trading at 1462.56. Today the turnover was Rs.33.95 crore, Rs 3.01 crore more than yesterday. Today, Nepse Index opened at 1462.23 points, and reached to 1468.80 in the first trading hour. However, it then decreased and ultimately ended up at 1462.56 points. 2.63 lakh units Promoter shares of Union Finance (UFCLPO) and 1.50 lakh units of Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme-1 (SIGS1) were traded the most today. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 33.95 crore, out of which more than Rs 2.65 crore (approx. 8% of total turnover) was contributed solely by transactions of Union Finance Promoter Share (UFCLPO). Today, 11.01 lakh unit shares were traded through 3,241 transactions. Rastriya Beema Company Limited (RBCL) and Karnali Development Bank Limited (KRBL) were the highest gainers. Rastriya Beema Company Limited (RBCL) has reached positive circuit level today. Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) and Mithila Laghu Bitta Bikas Bank Limited (MLBBL) lost the most today. Sensitive index dropped by 0.13 points whereas float index also decreased by just 0.04 points. All the sectors except Banking index and Manufacturing index ended up in green today.
