Market closes for the week with double digit loss of 14.15 points; Union Hydropower hits the negative circuit

On the last trading day of the week, the market was losing for most part of the day and lost double digit points. The benchmark index lost 1.10% or 14.15 points and closed at 1269.92 points. The turnover was worth Rs.55.05 Crore achieved from trade of 2,198,126 units of shares traded through 7,016 transactions trading scrips of 171 listed companies in the process.

Today’s trade was dominated by Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) with turnover of Rs.6.17 Crore achieved through trade of 220,033 units of shares. The LTP of the commercial bank stands at Rs.280 per share.

Nepal Lube Oil Limited (NLO) was today’s top gainer at it gained 8.81% or 17 points and closed at Rs.210 per share. Union Hydropower Limited (UNHPL) hit the negative circuit as it lost 9.57% or 9 points and closed at Rs.85 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 2.66 points and closed at 273.47 points while Float Index lost 1.06 points and closed at 93.50 points.

All the sub-indices ended in the red zone today after losing points. Hydropower sector was the top loser after losing 1.78% or 21.54 points.
