Market closes for the week at 1131.92 points; steady increase in market confidence

The market today was in the green zone for the whole day and closed at 1131.92 points. The benchmark index gained 0.66% or 7.45 points. The turnover amount stood at Rs.25.88 Crore achieved through trade of 1,095,188 units of shares traded through 6,085 transactions trading scrips of 168 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) posted the highest turnover at Rs.3.51 Crore with LTP at Rs.890 per share. NMB Bank Limited (NMB) stood ahead in terms of volume with trade of 57,511 units of shares. The LTP of the stock stood at Rs.388 per share.

Summit Laghubitta (SMFDB) was today’s top gainer as it gained 7.78% or 41 points and closed at Rs.568 per share. Dibyashwari Hydropower (DHPL) was today’s top loser as it lost 7.01% or 4 points and closed at Rs.53 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 0.91 points and closed at 248.77 points while Float Index gained 0.51 points and closed at 84.27 points.

Manufacturing sector lost 0.67% today while the rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points.
