Market closes after minimum movement in the positive direction; constantly decreasing turnover stands at Rs.40.35 Crore

After three days of consecutive fall, the market today took baby steps in the positive direction. The benchmark index gained 0.21% or 2.63 points and closed at 1260.90 points. The turnover today stood at Rs.40.35 Crore achieved from trade of 1,373,120 units of shares traded through 6,156 transactions trading scrips of 173 listed companies in the process.

Today’s trade was dominated by Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) with turnover of Rs.3.29 Crore achieved through trade of 102,416 units of shares. The LTP of the commercial bank stands at Rs.324 per share.

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company (AHPC) was today’s top gainer as it gained 6.73% or 7 points and closed at Rs.111 per share. Global IME Laghubitta (GILB) was today’s top loser as it lost 4.80% or 60 points and closed at Rs.1190 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 0.29 points and closed at 270.26 points while Float Index gained 0.17 points and closed at 92.41 points.

Development Banks, Microfinance and Life-Insurance were the sub-indices in the losing zone today. Rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points.
