Manakamana Smart Laghubitta (MKLB) Proposes 17% Dividend for FY 2077/78

Manakamana Smart Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MKLB) has proposed a 17% dividend for the fiscal year 2077/78.

The 66th meeting of the board of directors held on Kartik 16 has decided to distribute the entirety of the dividend in bonus shares. The paid-up capital of the company is Rs. 12,11,50,000. Thus, the bonus shares are worth slightly over Rs. 2.5 crores.

Since the company had started a joint operation with Smart Laghubitta on Shrawan last year, the company has received tax exemption on the dividend proposal. Shareholders will not have to pay the tax amount on the dividend proposed.

Note that this dividend will be distributed only after approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and endorsement by the company's upcoming AGM.
