Mai Khola Hydropower and Sagarmatha Jalbidhyut Company Calls 2nd AGM on Shrawan 25 With Major Agenda to Discuss IPO Issuance

Mai Khola Hydropower Limited (MKHL) and Sagarmatha Jalbidhyut Company Limited (SMJCL) have called its 2nd AGM on 25th Shrawan, 2079. The meeting will be held in the head office of the both company located at Anamnagar, Kathmandu. MKHL's meeting will start from 11:30 am that day whereas SMJCL's meeting will start from 9:30 am.
These are the agendas of both the companies:
1) Endorsement of financial reports for the fiscal year 2078/79.
2) Appointment of auditor for the fiscal year 2079/80 and approval of their compensation.
3) To conduct election of Board of Directors (BOD).
4) To discuss about issuance of Initial Public Offering (IPO) to the general public.
5) To endorse 10% cash dividend (excluding tax) to the shareholders of the company from the profit of FY 2078/79.
6) Misc.
Mai Khola Hydropower Pvt. Ltd. was established on the year of 2073 B.S., backed up by leading persons in hydropower developers, finance, and industrial sector with the sole purpose of generating energy in safe, cost-effective, reliable, efficient and environmentally sound manner using state of the art technologies. The Company aims to generate and supply energy from various sources, mainly by hydropower.
Likewise, Sagarmatha Jalbidhyut Company Pvt. Ltd was established in November 2015 in Kathmandu, Nepal under the company Act 2053 of the government of Nepal ( Company registered no. 111336/068/070). The Company was established to primarily to curb the ever increasing energy demand at that time and eliminate load shedding prevalent due to the imbalance in demand and supply of energy. SJCPL together with its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities has an installed gross generation capacity of over 18 MW. The company is expected to serve the power needs of more than 1000 households in collaboration with NEA.
