Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Launches Fully Digital Virtual Credit Card

Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank, in partnership with Fonepay, has launched a fully digital virtual credit card service through its mobile banking app “Mahalaxmi Smart Sathi.” Customers can now make secure and convenient payments via Fonepay QR merchants and online shopping without the need for a physical card.

The virtual card offers similar features as a physical credit card, including a 45-day interest-free period and flexible installment options. To encourage usage, the bank is offering up to Rs. 500 cashback for users of the virtual card.

With this launch, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank becomes the first development bank in Nepal to introduce such a service, further strengthening its position in digital innovation.
