Machhapuchchhre Bank traded the most during the day’s trade; Market closes at 1,194.38 points

The stock market ended losing meager of 0.44 points to on the second trading day of the week. The NEPSE index that had started at 1,194.82 points ended at 1,194.38 points losing 0.04%.

The total turnover for the day was Rs 29.61 crore which was the outcome of exchange of more than 12.84 lakh unit shares. The shares of 170 listed companies were exchanged through 3,664 transactions.

Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited (MBL) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than Rs 6.34 crore worth of shares was exchanged. It was also ahead in terms of shares traded as more than 3.09 lakh unit shares were traded during the day.

The shareholders of Nepal Seva Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NSEWA) earned the most today as the price of the share increased by 21 points and the LTP stood at Rs 381. Similarly, the shareholders of City Express Finance Limited (CEFL) lost 16 points to record its LTP at Rs 152.

Both the sensitive and float index ended gaining 0.07 points and 0.07 points respectively.

Out of the sub-indices, only Banking, Hydropower, Finance and Manufacturing and Production sectors landed in the green zone. Finance sector gained 4.18 points whereas Life-Insurance sector lost 20.51 points.
