Machhapuchchhre Bank Announces 14 Percent Dividends for FY 2079-80; How Much in Bonus Shares?

Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited (MBL) has become the first commercial bank to announce a 14 percent dividend payout for FY 2079-80.
In a notice issued today, MBL stated that the 486th meeting of the Board of Directors (BODs) of the financial institution, held on 2080/05/13 (today morning), has decided to distribute 14 percent dividends (including taxes) from the net profit of the recently concluded FY 2079-80.
According to the bank, 13.30 percent of the 14 percent announcement will be distributed in the form of bonus shares, while the remaining 0.70 percent will be allocated for taxation purposes.
The decision is subject to approval from the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) and subsequent endorsement at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Currently, MBL has 102,571,555.00 unit shares listed on NEPSE, totaling a paid up value of Rs. 10,257,155,500.00.
Earlier, Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited (MBL) had published its fourth-quarter report for the recently concluded financial year 2079-80 with almost a 10 percent increase in Net Profits totaling Rs. 1.85 Arba as of the end of the FY.
Similarly, the company had reported to have Rs. 1.56 Arba in the form of distributable profits for its shareholders. In addition, the distributable profits per share too have spiked significantly and stood at Rs. 15.29, as of FY 2079-80's end.
