Loss of double digit hits the market today; NEPSE stands at 1162.09 points with turnover above Rs.30 Crore

The market lost double digits on the opening day of the week. NEPSE lost 0.91% or 10.68 points to close at 1162.09 points today. The turnover today was of Rs.34.03 Crore which was achieved from trade of 1,185,872 units of shares traded through 6,730 transactions trading scrips of 164 companies in the process.

Upper Tamakoshi (UPPER) stood ahead in terms of turnover after the hydropower company posted a turnover of Rs.3.24 Crore. The LTP of the same stands at Rs.267 per share. Promoter shares of Janata Bank Nepal (JBNLPO) were traded the most today. A total of 140,666 units of shares were traded today with the LTP of the scrip standing at Rs.102 per share.

Samata Microfinance (SMATA) gained the most today after it gained 3.78% or 46 points to close at Rs.1264 per share. Chhyangdi Hydropower (CHL) was today’s top loser after it lost 6.54% or 7 points to close at Rs.100 per share.

Sensitive Index lost 2.06 points to close at 246.59 points while Float Index lost 0.79 points to close at 84.36 points.

All the sub-indices ended in the red zone today after losing points. The top loser among them was Non-Life Insurance after it lost 1.65% or 93.75 points.
