Pandemic-induced prohibitory orders have been extended for 15 days in Kathmandu Valley. A meeting of the Chief District Officers of all the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley has decided to extend the prohibitory orders till Jestha 13.

The meeting also decided to also bring all construction work to a halt unless they are of national priority. The meeting has prohibited physical gatherings for weddings, bratabandhas, and social events at party palaces and banquets. Furthermore, more than 10 people are not allowed to come together for such events even if they are organized at home.

Meanwhile, Nepal's only stock exchange, NEPSE, will be operating as usual. Everything from stock trading to payment can be done online, and the system has been fairly smooth with occasional glitches.
