Laxmi Value Fund-1 & Laxmi Equity Fund register loss for the month of Ashadh; NAV stands at Rs 10.84 & Rs 8.66 respectively

Laxmi Value Fund-1 (LVF1), a close end 5 years mutual fund scheme managed by Laxmi Capital Market Limited, has reported Rs 10.84 NAV for the month of Ashadh while it was Rs 10.86 for the previous month.
The scheme, which began with a fund size of Rs 50 crore, has invested Rs 31.23 crore in the shares of 38 listed companies.
Out of its total investment in listed shares, Laxmi Value Fund-1 has bought 40,319 units of shares of Promoter shares of the Nabil Bank Limited worth Rs 2.76 crore.
Mutual fund has set aside Rs 9 crore as fixed deposit and Rs 14.47 crore as bank balance. It has reported net loss of Rs 4.76 crore which was Rs 4.64 crore in the last month.
Similarly, Laxmi Equity Fund (LEMF), a close-end 7 years equity oriented mutual fund scheme also managed by Laxmi Capital Market Limited, has reported Rs 8.66 as its NAV for the month of Ashadh which has decreased from Rs 8.78 in the previous month.
The scheme, which began with a fund size of Rs 1.25 arba has invested Rs 70.44 crore in listed shares and Rs 13.81 lakh in public issues.
The scheme has invested in 13.81 lakh unit shares of 58 listed companies as of Jestha end.
Out of its total investment in listed shares, Laxmi Equity Fund has bought 31,896 units of shares of Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) worth Rs 3.34 crore.
It has reported net loss of Rs 16.53 crore which was Rs 15.06 crore in the previous month.
