KP Oli appointed the 41st PM of Nepal; Deuba resigns after addressing the nation

Khadga Prashad Sharma Oli, chairperson of CPN-UML and a common candidate of the Left Alliance has been appointed as the 41st prime minister of Nepal.
President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has appointed Mr. Oli as the prime minister under Clause 76 (2) today.
The latest political development was followed by former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s resignation from the post.
Deuba had shouldered the responsibilities of PM from Jestha 23, 2074.
Following a national address to the country from the Prime Minister's Residence this morning, PM Sher Bahadur Deuba has resigned from his position.
The resignation came after the Election Commission (EC) submitted the final result of House of Representatives (HoR) under Proportional Representation (PR) electoral system to the President on Wednesday evening.
