Annual General Meeting (AGM) is the yearly gathering of shareholders called by the company to acknowledge the highlights of the last fiscal year. In AGM, companies present major financial highlights, appoint the auditor for the coming fiscal year, endorse the dividends and right shares if any, amend the Memorandum of Association (MOA) and Articles of Association (AOA) and endorse other major decisions.
All the major decisions are implemented only if majority of shareholders present in the AGM approve. After the completion of FY 2073/74, many companies have already conducted their AGMs whereas AGM of many companies are yet to be hold. Thus, shareholders having shares of respective companies must attend the yearly AGM to know the performance of the company and its upcoming strategies, plans and policies, major decisions, etc.
