Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Conducts Financial Literacy Training for Visually Impaired
Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited has conducted a financial literacy and signature training program aimed at improving banking access for visually impaired individuals, in collaboration with the Sarvodaya Project. The two-day workshop provided training on savings, budgeting, financial discipline, digital transactions, and fraud awareness.
Special emphasis was placed on signature practice to help participants confidently carry out banking transactions. Around 40 visually impaired individuals took part in the program, which the bank believes will make banking processes more accessible and user-friendly.
The bank also highlighted its inclusive initiatives, such as the “Swabhiman Savings Account,” which allows visually impaired customers to use mobile banking and ATM services without extra documentation, along with Braille-supported account guidelines.
Participants and organizers appreciated the initiative, noting its role in promoting financial inclusion, confidence, and self-reliance. The bank has pledged to expand such programs in the future to further strengthen inclusive banking practices.
