Janautthan Samudayic Laghubitta conducts financial literacy program
Janautthan Samudayic Laghubitta Bikas Bank (JSLBB) has conducted a financial literacy program in Thori VDC, Parsa on Magh 7, 2073. The program was chaired by Mr. Yam Bahadur BK, chairman of the microfinance. The program had speakers from Nepal Rastra Bank, directors of the microfinance, and from speakers from all political parties.
Mr. Gokarna Bahadur Karki, director of the microfinance development bank inaugurated the financial program. Mr. Baburam BK lectured on financial status and Mr. Narendara Kandel, guest on behalf of Nepal Rastra Bank lectured on bank policies.
Thori VDC is a remote VDC in Parsa district near the border of India. In a place where there are no financial institutions for almost 80 kilometers and three VDCs, Janautthan Samudayic Laghubitta Bikas Bank has also opened a new branch. The new branch was formally inaugurated by Mr. Rajendra Pandit, Nepal Rastra Bank on Magh 8. Public speakers and local residents were enthused by the arrival of the bank.
