Janata Bank launches Janata Surakshya Saving Account with Rs 10 lakh Accident Insurance payment; saving and security in one go

Janata Bank Nepal (JBNL) has brought an attractive saving account product Janata Surakshya Saving Account with an aim to provide range of facilities including appealing insurance service to its customers. The newly launched saving account would come online from Chaitra 7, 2074, as informed by the commercial bank.
The customers can open Janata Surakshya Saving Account with minimum balance of Rs 10 thousand for which they can receive an interest of 7% which shall be disbursed in once in every 3 months.
More attractive is the insurance coverage for the account holders provided by the Bank for the saving account holders who would be entitle to receive Rs 10 lakh in insurance payment in case of any accidents. There’s also a provision of Rs 1 lakh medical insurance payment in case of hospitalization and Rs 5 thousand insurance payment in case of non-hospitalized cases.
This latest deposit product has been brought out following a collaboration with NECO Insurance. customers need to fill up a separate form of insurance apart from regular form for opening their bank accounts, reads the press statement issued by the bank.
The bank is currently providing its services from 98 branches, 31 BLBs, 3 limited banking units, 3 extension counters and 69 ATM outlets.
