Janata Bank conducts 8th AGM; endorses 14.40% bonus shares and elects new board members

Janata Bank Nepal Limited (JBNL) has conducted its 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Kalikasthan, Kathmandu. The AGM conducted under the chairmanship of bank’s president Mr. Keshav Bahadur Rayamajhi has endorsed the earlier proposal of the board to offer 14.40% bonus shares to the shareholders. AGM Photo The AGM is the first joint AGM of the institution after the merger between then Janata Bank, Triveni Bikas Bank and Siddhartha Development Bank. the bank has also successfully conducted the election for the members to its board, reads the statement. The newly elected Directors are Mr. Keshav Bahadur Rayamajhi, Mr. Lanka Bahadur K.C. and Mr. Ram Bahadur Bhandari from the promoters group and Mr. Gautam Prasad Khanal, Mr. Vineet Kumar Agrawal and Mr. Sanjeev Neupane from the public shareholders. New Elected Director Through the press note, the bank informed that JBNL is currently serving more than 5 lakh customers through its 113 branches, 26 branchless banking facilities, and 67 ATMs The bank currently has a deposit portfolio of Rs 52.17 arba and credit disbursement of Rs 48.39 arba.
