Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta Revises Dividend Rate to 15% for Fiscal Year 2078/79

Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (JALPA) has amended the dividend percentage from the previous 76.8421% to a 15% dividend for the fiscal year 2078/79.

Earlier, the company decided to distribute the dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 16 crores. 73% bonus shares worth Rs. 11.38 crores and a 3.421% cash dividend worth Rs. 61.47 Lakhs were proposed.

The dividend was subjected to be distributed only after approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and endorsement by the company's upcoming AGM. As per the NRB’s recommendations, the company has amended the dividend to a maximum of 15% from the paid-up capital of Rs. 16 Crores.

Now the dividend has been revised to 15% including a 0.75% cash dividend and a 14.25% bonus shares from the paid-up capital of Rs. 16 Crores. Thus, the cash dividend amounts to Rs. 12 lakhs, and bonus shares are worth Rs. 2.28 crores.

JALPA closed at Rs 1,679 yesterday.
