Investor Organizations Jointly Submit Memorandum to PM Dahal Asking To Ease Provisions for New Stock Exchange and Brokerage Licenses

Investor Organizations in Nepal today met PM Dahal to submit a memorandum putting forth several demands in the best interest of the investors. '
Three investor organizations including Nepal Investors Forum, Share Investor Association Nepal, Nepal Capital Market Investors Nepal jointly met Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to present a memorandum that puts forth six-demands in the best interest of the investors.

The submitted memorandum puts forth demands including to ease and speed up the processes underway for the attainment of new brokerage licenses and license for new stock exchange and commodity exchange.
Other demands of the Investor organizations include revoking the decision of Rs. 12 crore loan limit, revision in taxes for short-term and long term investors, reducing existing loan interest rate and resolving the ongoing liquidity crisis in banks and financial institutions, among others.
Earlier, the government had halted the procedures for the issuance of new brokerage licenses. Meanwhile, 43 among 46 applicants who had submitted for receiving brokerage licenses have already got preliminary license/letter of intent (LOI).
