Inter-bank lending market's interest rate slope getting steeper and steeper; Weighted average inter-bank rate reaches 6.37%

For the past few weeks, after NRB gave the permission to include interbank lending fund in CCD ratio, the borrowing and lending among commercial banks has increased drastically both in terms of interest rates and volumes.
Yesterday, the weighted average interbank rate went as high as 6.3742%, marking the highest position as of yet. This is the weighted average, so the real maximum rate at which the fund has been lent will be even higher.
