India's PM Modi Invites Leaders of Neighboring Countries to His Third Swearing-In Ceremony

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended invitations to leaders of neighboring countries to attend his swearing-in ceremony as he prepares to assume office for a third consecutive term. According to Indian media reports, the ceremony will take place on June 8, with leaders from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, and Mauritius expected to participate.

Official announcements from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka confirmed that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and President Ranil Wickremesinghe have been invited by Modi. These invitations were extended during phone conversations held on Wednesday.

The Indian media outlet, The Wire, reported that invitations were also sent to Bhutan's Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, Nepal's Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, and Mauritius' Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth.

During a phone conversation on Wednesday, Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister Dahal reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the deep-rooted and multifaceted partnership between India and Nepal.
