Income Rs 1.4 million generated from sale of recycled waste products
A passenger bus that met with a tragic accident early Monday in Dhading had departed from Pokhara at 7:00 pm on Sunday, authorities confirmed.
According to Prithvi Highway Bus Operation Company Chairperson Ain Kumar Sai, the bus belonging to Machhapuchchhre Tours and Travels (Ga 2 Kha 1421) was carrying 34 passengers when it left Pokhara for Kathmandu.
Sai informed that the bus owner, Omkumar Shrestha of Jamune, Tanahun, was also travelling on the vehicle at the time of the incident.
Police reports confirm that 17 passengers have died so far in the दुर्घटना, making it one of the deadliest highway accidents in recent months. The condition of several injured passengers remains critical.
Rescue teams and representatives of the bus operation company have reached the incident site from Malekhu to collect details and assist authorities in relief efforts.
According to police, the injured passengers are receiving treatment at trauma centres and hospitals in Kathmandu, while some have been admitted to nearby local health facilities.
The condition of the bus driver, Sujit Nepali, is still unknown, and authorities are continuing search and investigation efforts to determine the cause of the accident.
Police said further details will be released after a full assessment of the incident.
