Imports decline by 10% and Exports up by 14% in first quarter of 76/77;Rs 35 arba duty collected on imports

The Department of Customs (DOC) has published the three months of foreign trade statistics of Nepal.

According to the report, the import has decreased by 10.34% in three months of 2076/77 in comparison to the first three months of FY 2075/76. Likewise, the total exports have gone up by 14.41% in the review period.

Likewise, the highest percentage of our trade deficit still lies with India standing at 62% of the total trade deficit followed by China at 19%. Nepal has trade relations with 122 countries and some other countries with trade values below Rs 100 thousand.

Similarly, Nepal has collected a total of Rs 35.02 arba on imports worth Rs 3.34 kharba till the first quarter of FY 2076/77.
