Import resumes from Rasuwagadhi transit after a halt of over five months

Two trucks laden with goods on Monday morning entered Nepal through Rasuwagadhi transit after a halt of over five months said, border officials.

The transit point was closed on January 29 over the COVID-19 pandemic. Other vehicles carrying goods are also coming in, said Deputy Superintendent of Police of Armed Police Force Laxman Thapa, who is posted at the APF customs security and revenue office, Timure.

As per agreement struck earlier between officials of Nepal and China, the Chinese side transported goods up to Miteri bridge at Rasuwagadhi, said the border government officials.
