Hydro Index plunges by double digit with SEBON’s criteria; Nepse Index continues to decline by 9.22 points with turnover of Rs 60.25 crore

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) dropped by 9.22 points or 0.59% to close at 1544.68 points.
The capital market index has been showing fluctuations from the couple of days signaling stability. Nepse Index opened at 1553.92 points today and the local bourse was seen fluctuating.
48,847 units shares of Manjushree Finance Limited Promoter shares (MFIL) and 46,013 units shares of Shikhar Insurance Company Limited (SICL) were traded the most today.
SEBON has published new criteria for the issue of right and FPO shares concerning non-BFI and non-insurance companies today. Following this, Api Power hit negative circuit in the first trading hour and had the fifth highest number of transactions today.
Arun Finance Limited (ARUN), Api Power Company Limited (API), Vibor Society development Bank Limited (VSDBL), Nagbeli Microfinance Development Bank Limited (NBBL) and Summit Microfinance Development Bank Limited (SMFDB) became the top five losers today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 60.25 crore where more than 7.03 lakh units shares were traded through 4,501 transactions.
Sensitive index and float index slightly went down by 1.8 points and 0.72 points respectively.
Except finance, all the sub-indices landed in red zone today. Insurance and sub-group Hotel declined by double digits. Both sub-index dropped by 45.17 and 26.75 points respectively.
