Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) has posted massive net profit rise of 174.21 percent in the second quarter (Q2) of the current fiscal year 2073/74 after successful merger with Grand Bank Limited.
As per the unaudited quarterly report of the second quarter published today, the commercial bank has registered a net profit of Rs. 1.11 arba, up from Rs. 40.56 crore in the corresponding quarter of fiscal year 2072/73.
Its net interest income surged from Rs.70.73 crore in the previous year to Rs.1.44 arba in previous year report.
Prabhu Bank has a paid up capital of Rs 5.88 arba and a reserve of Rs 1.41 arba at present.
Prabhu Bank has collected Rs. 70.21 arba in deposits and has extended Rs.56.52 arba in loans in the second quarter of 2073/74 as compared to Rs. 47.98 arba in deposit and Rs.31.79 arba in loans in the corresponding quarter of fiscal year 2072/73.
The bank’s non-performing loan (NPL) decreased to 4.88 percent in Q2 from 5.53 percent in the corresponding quarter.
PRVU annualized earning per share (EPS) stand at Rs 37.83, net worth per share is at Rs 124.01, PE ratio at 23.16 times.
