Historic Surge: Fine Gold Prices Up by Rs. 500 per Tola to Trade at Rs 116,000

The price of gold in the local market has recently witnessed a historic surge, with an increase of Rs. 500 per tola. According to the official data from the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is now being traded at an unprecedented rate of Rs. 116,000 per tola. Just on the 20th of October 2023, the price of this precious metal was at Rs. 115,500 per tola.
Tejabi gold has also experienced a significant uptick and is currently trading at Rs. 115,450, compared to its previous rate of Rs. 114,950 per tola.
In contrast, the price of silver remains stable at Rs. 1,400 per tola.
It's worth noting that these remarkable price fluctuations in the local market are consistent with international trends. Currently, the global price for gold is at USD $1,986.80 per ounce, while silver is being traded at $22.86 per ounce.
