Hathway Investment Nepal to Invest Up to Rs. 40 Crore in Sugar Mill and Hydropower Project

Hathway Investment Nepal Limited has decided to invest up to Rs. 40 crore in Vijayshree Sugar Mills Limited and the Induwa Khola PROR Hydropower Project as part of its strategy to diversify its investments and pursue long-term opportunities.

The decision was taken by the company's 235th meeting of the Board of Directors held on Wednesday, Bhadra 24, 2083, at 3:30 PM.

As per the decision, Hathway Investment Nepal will invest up to Rs. 25 crore in the promoter shares of Vijayshree Sugar Mills Limited. The company will acquire up to 25 lakh promoter shares at a face value of Rs. 100 per share.

Similarly, the company has decided to invest up to Rs. 15 crore in the promoter shares of the Induwa Khola PROR Hydropower Project, a 24.921 MW hydropower project under construction in Makalu Rural Municipality, Sankhuwasabha.

The hydropower project is being promoted by Vision Tesla Power Pvt. Ltd. Hathway Investment Nepal will acquire up to 15 lakh promoter shares at Rs. 100 per share.

The company said the investments are in line with its policy of sector-wise diversification and long-term investment.

Following the board decision, Hathway Investment Nepal has committed a combined investment of up to Rs. 40 crore across the sugar and hydropower sectors.
