Hama Merchant & Finance Company earns Rs 2.16 crore in Q3;  ongoing merger talk with Mega & Nepal Bangladesh Bank; trading at 10% up today Hama Merchant and Finance Company Limited (HAMA) has posted a net profit of Rs 2.16 crore in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2072/73.The net profit increased by 153% in Q3 compared to the second quarter of the same fiscal year. The figure stood at Rs 85.52 lakh in the second quarter of the same fiscal year. Publishing the unaudited financial quarterly report today, the finance company’s net interest income has increased to Rs 1.86 crore in Q3 from Rs 1.11 crore in the previous quarter. The company’s paid up capital is at Rs 20 crore and its reserve stands  at Rs 8.46 crore in Q3. It has collected Rs 21.29 crore in deposits and disbursed Rs 22.59 crore in loans in Q3. The figure of deposits and loan stood at Rs 20.97crore and Rs 25.64 crore respectively in the second quarter of the current fiscal year. The operating profit of the finance company reached to Rs 31.61 lakh in Q3 The finance company non-performing loans decreased to 3.15 % in Q3 from 5.73% in the previous quarter of the current fiscal year. HAMA’s annualized EPS stands at Rs 14.43 and net worth per share is priced at Rs 131.02. As per a source privy to the information, HAMA  is holding serious Merger/ Acquisition talk with Mega Bank Nepal Limited (MEGA)  and Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited (NBB). Due to the rumor regarding merger with MEGA and  NBB, HAMA has  hit circuit at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited yesterday and  also trading at upper circuit level  today. HAMA Merchant has provided 10.50 percent bonus shares from the net profit earned in the last fiscal year.
