Governor Paudel Submits Nepal Rastra Bank Annual Report for FY 2081/82 to Finance Minister

Governor Prof. Dr. Bishwo Nath Paudel presented the annual report of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) for the fiscal year 2081/82 to Finance Minister Rameshwor Prasad Khanal. The report, divided into three sections, covers the overall economic and financial situation, the bank’s operations, and audited financial statements. NRB’s net income, before foreign exchange and asset revaluation adjustments, increased by 8.11% to NPR 8.048 billion.

The NRB Board decided to allocate necessary funds to various reserves and transfer the remaining NPR 4.2 billion to the government. As of mid-July 2082, the bank’s total assets and liabilities rose by 28.23% to NPR 26.712 billion. The submission complies with provisions under the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058, which mandates annual reporting and audit presentation to the government within four months of the fiscal year-end.
