CHITWAN, June 15:
Minister for Education and government spokesperson Gangadhar Tuladhar claimed that the government will present regular budget for the next fiscal year on time.

“Government should not think of resigning as the time to present budget is approaching,” he said, while formally inaugurating the federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s (FNCCI) special general meeting here on Tuesday.

“As budget is key to nation, it should be introduced on time at any rate,” he argued.

On a different note, presenting the data of more of than 27,000 students going to foreign countries for education every year, which causes a whopping Rs 27 billion outflow, Tuladhar called on the private sector to come up with initiatives to stop the capital outflow. “If private sector could do anything to check the trend, it will be a great contribution,” he added.

FNCCI former president Chandiraj Dhakal, incumbent vice-presidents Bhawani Rana, Pradeep Jung Pandey and Pashupati Murarka were, however, absent on the occasion.

On the occasion, FNCCI president Suraj Vaidya presented a working paper on current financial status of the nation and umbrella organisation of private sector’s strategies.

He highlighted the current political scenario, financial standing and status of energy and budgetary sector including industrial security.

Similarly, FNCCI Chitwan chapter president Uttamlal Chuke briefed on the federation’s activities.
