Golyān Group Scholarships Help Children of Janajati Martyrs Begin Education
Three children under the educational scholarship program launched by Golyān Group for the children of martyrs from the Janajati (JENJI) movement formally began their schooling on Friday, coinciding with Saraswati Puja. The children started their education in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Siraha (Lahan).

Announced in mid-October, the program supports 34 children and provides educational assistance up to grade 12. The three newly enrolled children, all aged two, have begun early education at Kathmandu Euro School, Early Childhood Academy in Pokhara, and School of Scholars in Lahan.
At the initiation ceremony in Kathmandu, Golyān Group Chairman and Managing Director Akshay Golyān said the scholarship reflects the group’s social responsibility to honor the sacrifices made by the martyrs. He emphasized that the support is a long-term commitment aimed at empowering children through education, enabling them to build confidence and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s future.
On the occasion, a cheque of NPR 376,000 was handed over to cover one year of education for one child, with the program providing up to NPR 480,000 per child annually. School representatives in Kathmandu and Pokhara appreciated Golyān Group’s initiative, noting that it strengthens collective responsibility toward fulfilling the dreams of the martyrs.
Similarly, family members of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude, saying the support has given them hope that the unfinished dreams of the martyrs will be realized. Through this program, Golyān Group has reinforced its commitment to social responsibility by investing in the education and future of the children of national heroes.
