Gold Prices Plummet by Rs. 1,800 per Tola in Two Days

The gold prices took a dip today, dropping by Rs. 500 per tola.
According to the official website of the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the current price of fine gold stands at Rs. 1,17,000 per tola. Yesterday, it was at Rs. 1,17,500 per tola. Tejabi gold is now trading at Rs. 1,16,450 per tola, marking a decrease of Rs. 500 compared to its previous rate of Rs. 1,16,950 per tola.
On December 4, 2023, fine gold had surged to a historic high of Rs. 1,21,600 per tola, while Tejabi gold had hit Rs. 1,21,000, both setting records at the time.
Silver has also seen a decline of Rs. 15 per tola, with the current market rate standing at Rs. 1,410 per tola compared to yesterday's closing rate of Rs. 1,425 per tola.
The global drop in gold prices, now at $ 1998.10 per ounce, has notably impacted the local bullion market. Simultaneously, silver is trading at $22.98 per ounce on the international market.
