Gold Price Rises by NPR 400 per Tola; Silver Price Remains Unchanged

The price of gold in the Nepali market has continued to climb since Jestha 27 (June 10), reflecting a consistent upward trend in the international bullion market. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of fine gold increased by NPR 400 per tola when the market opened today compared to Friday’s closing rate.
With this latest rise, the price of one tola of fine gold has reached NPR 197,500 today, up from NPR 197,100 recorded on both Jestha 30 and Jestha 31. Meanwhile, silver prices have remained unchanged, with one tola of silver trading at NPR 2,165, the same as in previous sessions.
Looking back, on Jestha 27, the price of one tola of gold stood at NPR 190,000. It rose to NPR 191,300 on Jestha 28, then climbed to NPR 192,900 on Jestha 29. The price further surged to NPR 197,100 on Jestha 30 and 31, before reaching today’s new peak of NPR 197,500.
The rise in domestic gold prices aligns with global market trends. As per international news reports, gold is trading at USD 3,448 per ounce in the international market today, indicating high global demand and market volatility.
