Free profit of Janata Bank observes massive surge in Q1; EPS rises to Rs 16.10

Janata Bank Nepal Limited (JBNL) has reported rise in the net profit in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2075/76. The net profit has increased by 99.48% in the first quarter however the free profit has massively increased by 294.95% as compared to the corresponding quarter.
The bank’s profit has increased from 16.13 crore in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2074/75 to Rs 32.19 crore in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2075/76. In the first quarter of the FY 2075/76, the bank has Rs 25.59 crore as Free Profit after Regulatory Adjustments which can be utilized in distributing dividends to its shareholders.
The bank’s deposit has growth rate of 20.37% to Rs 62.88 arba and loans and advances have also increased by 23.37% to Rs 58.45 arba in the first quarter.
The net interest income of the bank has increased to Rs 79.50 crore from Rs 51.02 crore of the corresponding quarter.
The bank’s paid up capital stands at Rs 8.00 arba with Rs 2.34 arba as its reserve.
The Non-Performing Loan (NPL) has also decreased to 1.54% from 1.65%.
In the first quarter, the EPS of the bank stands at Rs 16.10. The net worth per share stands at Rs 129.32.
