NEPSE Index Surges By 27.19 Points to Close at 2,708.70 levels; All Index Close at Green Except Trading Sector

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining by 27.19 points (1.01%) to settle at 2,708.70. This follows a 1.64 point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2681.13, touching an intraday high of 2,709.00, while the lowest point was 2,679.75. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 11.58 Arba, with 35,574,627 shares traded across 326 companies through 108,817 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.47 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.48 Kharba.

Union Hydropower Limited (UNHPL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 58.77 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 531.00.

Three Companies Hit Upper Circuit with 10.00% each.

Meanwhile, Super Madi Hydropower Limited (SMHL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.98%.

Among sectors, the Non Life Insurance and Others Index registered the highest gain, gaining 1.98%, while the Trading Index saw the highest loss at 0.48%.
