Formation of 13-Member Working Group for Culture Policy Development in Nepal

A 13-member working group has been formed under the coordination of Bhupal Rai, the chancellor of the Nepal Pragya Foundation, to formulate a culture policy.

The task force was created in accordance with the ministerial decision of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation.

Minister Sudan Kirati has emphasized the priority given to the culture policy, despite the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation not traditionally focusing on culture.

The 13-member committee is led by Vice-Chancellor Bhupal Rai and includes the following members Former Member of Legislative Assembly, Member of Parliament, Malla K Sundar, Member of Language Commission, Dr. Amar Giri, Head of Culture Mahasabha, Damodar Gautam, Sanskritist Dr. Prem Khatri, Sanskritist Dr. Dilli Oli, Former Secretary Dr. Manbahadur Vishwakarma, Prof. Dr. Vipan Paudyal, Devsharan Yadav, Cultural Director Bhogiraj Chamling, Film Director Naveen Subba and Member Secretary, Head of Culture Branch, Deputy Secretary Punyamaya Guragain. 

This diverse group has been entrusted with the important task of shaping Nepal's culture policy for the future.
