FNCCI election concludes; Chandra Dhakal elected Vice President; This is the new team formed
The votes for the election of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce & Industries (FNCCI) were counted yesterday.
Former senior vice president Shekhar Golchha has automatically become the president. A new team has been formed in the federation under the chairmanship of Golchha.
Defeating his rival Kishor Pradhan, Chandra Dhakal has been elected as the senior vice president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries.
In Associate, Chandra Dhakal got 522 votes and Kishor Pradhan got 375 votes while in Commodities, Chandra Dhakal got 59 votes and Kishor Pradhan got 39 votes. Similarly, Chandra Dhakal and Kishor Pradhan got 52 and 53 votes respectively in Provincial. Dhakal won with 54.26 percent of the total votes while Pradhan got 45.74 percent votes.
Anjan Shrestha of the Kishor Pradhan faction has won the election with 62 votes on the Commodities side. He defeated his rival Umesh Lal Shrestha by 25 votes. Umesh Lal Shrestha got 37 votes.
There will be 14 central members on the commodity side in which 7 members of each panel have been elected.

Dinesh Lal Shrestha from the Kishor Pradhan group has been elected as the vice-chairman of the provincial side. He received 58 votes. His rival Gunanidhi Tiwari got 47 votes.
There will be a total of 18 central members in the provincial side. Out of them, 11 members of the Kishor Pradhan group and 7 members of the Chandra Dhakal group have been elected.

Ram Chandra Sanghai of Dhakal Group has been elected as the Associate Vice President. He won by getting 455 votes. His rival Saurabh Jyoti got 434 votes.
The Associates will have 19 executive members, including 10 from the Pradhan group and eight from the Dhakal group.
