Finance Minister Wagle Directs Officials to Propose Legal Measures for Capital Market Reform

Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has directed officials to propose legal measures for the development and reform of Nepal’s capital market.

During a meeting held at the Ministry of Finance on Monday with senior officials from Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) and the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), Wagle instructed the officials to identify and present necessary legal provisions to strengthen and modernize the capital market.

The meeting was attended by NRB Governor Dr. Biswo Nath Poudel, SEBON Chairman Dr. Gopal Bhatta, NRB Deputy Governor Kiran Pandit, and SEBON Deputy Executive Director Narayan Sharma Poudel.

The discussion focused on measures required to improve the capital market and create a stronger legal and regulatory framework for its development.
