Finance minister speaks about the economic situation of the country; says, “ Rumors about degrading economy is not going to help”

Finance Minister Dr. Yubaraj Khtiwada has said that the country’s economy is not in danger like everybody has been thinking about it.
Inaugurating the 19th AGM of Nepal Aarthik Patrakaar Samaaj, he said that only few of the indicators are negative but there is no need to panic about the economic situation.
He further said that the rumors about the degrading economy have demotivated the private sectors as well as foreign investors to invest in the country. “The economy is slowly becoming strong. We have tried to keep the budget under control and for some of the aspects which have gone out of discipline, works are being done to bring them under discipline as well” said Dr Khatiwada.
He stated that the adjustment of the revenues and customs in a scientific way will be soon made. He also talked about the works going on to bring the foreign investment in the export based industries.
In the end he also added that the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2075/76 has just been formulated and results cannot be expected in 6 months.
