Finance Committee Calls SEBON, NEPSE, and Stakeholders for Discussion Tomorrow

The Finance Committee of the House of Representatives has called a meeting to discuss ways to make Nepal’s capital market more organized, transparent, reliable, and investor friendly. The committee's 33rd meeting is scheduled for Wednesday tomorrow, Ashwin 14, at 8:30 AM at the Federal Parliament Secretariat in Singha Durbar.

The discussion will cover key aspects of the stock market, including securities issuance, listing, market operations, regulatory effectiveness, and investor protection. It will also focus on current challenges facing the market and necessary policy reforms.

Key officials invited to the meeting include the Finance Secretary, the Chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), and the CEOs of the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) and CDS and Clearing Limited. Representatives from the Stock Brokers Association of Nepal and various retail investor associations have also been invited to share their views.
