Festive season leads to soaring price; Gold up by Rs 1650 per tola in a week

In today’s market, the price of gold increased to Rs 51,600 per tola. The price increased by Rs 200 with yesterday’s price. Last Thursday the price of gold stood at 49,950 per tola. So, with the starting with festive season the price of gold has soared by Rs 1650 per tola within a week.
Likewise, in today’s market the price of silver has reached to Rs 725 per tola. The price remained constant as compared to yesterday’s price. Last Thursday the price of silver stood at Rs 715 per tola. So, with the starting with festive season the price of silver has merely increased by Rs 10 per tola within a week.
In the global market, the price of gold remained at $ 1186.60 per ounce at 2.28 EDT.
Foreign Currency
As of today, a unit of US dollar and a unit of Euro fetched Rs 104.40 and Rs 119.13 respectively against Nepali rupees.
The reference exchange rate is determined by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB). However, under free market, the exchange rate fixed by individual bank and financial institutions may differ from NRB.
